The Head Of Oyo Mesi, Yusuf Ayoola, who declared that Oba Adeyemi, would be buried according to Islamic injunction, added “We have called the Imam. Baba will be buried today around 4pm.”
Platforms Africa reports that the Chief Imam Of Oyo State, Masud Ajokidero, arrived the Palace following the burial preparations of the deceased Alaafin Of Oyo.

It was reported that the traditional rites of passage had been completed as of 7:45 am.
One of the Palace Officials said the late Alaafin Of Oyo would be buried according to Islamic rites.
At 12 noon, the Chief Imam Of Oyo, Masud and other Islamic clerics in Oyo State and the neighbouring towns performed the funeral (Janazah) prayers on the remains of the deceased.
The prayers held outside the Aganju forecourt.
One of the Palace official said “Iku Baba Yeye is dead. We are even done with the traditional rites. The imams are preparing for his burial already. It’s a painful loss.”

The deceased son, Prince Tunde and other children of the late Alaafin received the monarch’s remains at Idi-Igba, Oyo town early Saturday morning.
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, is expected to make an official announcement of the death soon.
